THE APOSTLE PAUL AND DR. LUKE ON THE ISLAND OF COS: Sin, Sickness, and Death

The Greek island of Cos is situated in the center of the Dodecanese island chain off the southwest coast of Turkey. This essay gives a description, and some of the history and archaeology, of the island made famous by Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine. I used my “sanctified imagination” to try and reconstruct what the Apostle Paul and Dr. Luke might have seen and said when they were on the island (Acts 21:1).
